Eligibility Criteria of the Friends of the University of Auckland US/NZ Exchange Scholarship
Read below the requirements of this scholarship before your application:
- To be eligible to study at the University of Auckland (inbound Award), you must
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Have been admitted in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or diploma or a Certificate of Proficiency (COPOS or COPEX) at Waipapa Taumata Rau or the University of Auckland.
- You must obtain a US GPA of not less than 3.7 (where 4 is an ‘A’ grade).
- For applicants to be eligible to study in other Universities other than the University of Auckland (outbound Award) the applicant must:
- Be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Have completed or are already towards the completion of the academic requirements of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Waipapa Taumata Rau or the University of Auckland. Applicants may or may not have graduated by the closing date.
- Have been offered postgraduate or undergraduate admission or have been accepted for an approved exchange or short-term program at a US university of at least equal standing to Waipapa Taumata Rau or the University of Auckland (See Note II).
- Obtain a minimum GPA of 7.4.
- The Award may be combined with any other current scholarship, award, or grant as long as the other scholarship, award, or grant permits you and the University of Auckland Council to be informed and approved.
- The scholar is expected to list out any other award, grant, or scholarship program the student is participating in and submit it to this scholarship Office.
