Eligibility status for the Graduate International Merit Scholarship
Scholars have to meet the following criteria before applying for the scholarship:
- Be a new entry student at the University of Memphis.
- USA citizens or dual citizen scholars are not eligible.
- Have a minimum score of 310 on the GRE test with at least (150 in the GRE Verbal AND 150 in the GRE Quantitative and 2.5 AWA score) or equivalent GMAT scores.
- Applicant must obtain cumulative undergraduate GPA grade of 3.25 U.S.A. equivalent cumulative. This will be determined by a credential evaluation agency (NACES) (for master program scholars).
- Hold a master’s degree. It must be related to the course you want to study (for PhD applicants).

- Students with Fulbright Scholarships are eligible to apply.
- Successful scholars must be constantly enrolled in full-time credit hours each session (fall and spring semesters) to maintain the award eligibility.

- All scholars will be examined at the end of the spring semester to check eligibility for the next academic session.
