The program is jointly designed and delivered by a group of higher education institutions. You will have to choose between four (4) countries where Erasmus institution resides to participate. Pre-selection requirements for the scholarship are:
- The scholarship completed application form.
- Hold a BSc degree or equivalent degree of at least 180 ECTS or equivalent in any of the following undergraduate courses:
- Biotechnology
- Biology
- Biochemistry
- Chemistry
- Food science and technology
- Microbiology
- Nutrition
- Process technology/engineering.
- You must pass the English language proficiency test (“B2 level” according to CEFR, advanced) Any of the following English tests is acceptable:

- Internet-based TOEFL: A minimum level of 90
- IELTS (Academic): Minimum score of 6.5
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (FCE with B2 level, CAE or CPE)
- Candidates with English as their mother tongue will need to provide a copy of their passport for proof.
- Students who completed all their high school degrees with English as a medium of instruction/communication (a certificate from the university is required for proof).
- If you have stayed more than a year in an English-speaking country will need to provide a certificate from your employer or other as applicable, or a copy of the passport page showing your visa to enter and leave the English-speaking country for proof.
- Exemptions can exceptionally be made for outstanding students with a lower English proficiency level.

- Your experience in laboratory work, research, participation in conferences, and published articles (scientific journals) will be considered.
- A detailed explanation of why you would like to attend the FIPDes Master program and how you will benefit much from the program.
- The panel will take into account the applicant’s state of origin to ensure a proper geographical balance within each cohort.
- The top candidates may be interviewed by FIPDes Consortium during the selection period (a short interview that may last for 30 minutes), through face-to-face interaction with software such as Skype, or by a video conference).

- A well-drafted letter of motivation (no minimum nor maximum length for word, 1 to 2 pages is enough with the address of FIPDes Consortium).
- Academic Transcripts records for every academic session of your BSc degree or equivalent (official signed and stamped transcripts with an explanation of the grading system).
- A recommendation letter (Two reference letters (signed and stamped, if possible use the FIPDes form). The letters will be uploaded directly by the referents (it can be your Lecturer, Professor, Head of department, Dean, academic supervisor, or employer) on the online application tool once you have filled in their details and sent the request.
