The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity is a program to support and sponsor highly academic outstanding students around the world to pursue their Master’s degree at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. This is to train them in research field, develop in skills and build a great potential to be a great somebody that will change the world positively in the future.
The scholarship is a full sponsored program that will covers your full study tuition fess, living costs, as well as other fees during your Master’s degree course. The scholarship will be chosen by merit from international and domestic students who wish to study Master’s programs in ETH Zurich, Switzerland. The program will award students with CHF 12,000 per semester to cover their study expenses and living cost and will also receive tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility Criteria for the Excellence Scholarship

- 1. You will need to hold an excellent Bachelor’s degree program result (High grade or GPA will be a very big advantage for you).
- Provide your study transcripts containing all the courses you offered in undergraduate degree with grades.
- A well drafted CV/Resume. Make sure you put your correct phone number in your CV because shortlisted candidate might have a voice call interview around February.
- The application will need you to upload a pre-proposal for your master thesis (Download a guidelines_preproposal here (PDF, 86 KB)vertical_align_bottom).
- Please it is mandatory that you write this pre-proposal Master’s thesis by yourself and use established scientific citation practice.
- Check for Plagiarism, negligent or intentional misinformation as this will lead to your exclusion from the admission process or cancellation of your scholarship award.
- You must provide references, two reference persons preferably professors for your application. The referee forms will be sent to each of them, they should upload them immediately after filling it out.
- A student who have enrolled in a Master’s degree program at ETH Zurich, or hold a Master degree are not eligible for the scholarship program.

How to Apply for the the Excellence Scholarship
Follow the instructions for a successful application:
- The scholarship application is via eApply (online master application).
- Make sure you fill out all the necessary space in the form. Incomplete form will be rejected.
- Scan and upload all the required documents.
- NB: You do not need to be admitted in the ETH Zurich before you apply for this program.
- Scholars should be expecting an interview around February by phone call.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notify at the end of March.
