The Eligibility Requirements for the BI Presidential Scholarship

  • 3rd year students of the Sivøk program are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates with Norwegian citizenship or international citizenship from EU/EEA/Switzerland.

  • All international applicants (all countries) who came to Norway for their bachelor studies and will complete a bachelor’s degree in Norway (full 180 ECTS) in the spring of the year of application.
  • International applicants from outside the EU/EEA must not have a break in studies between the completion of their bachelor’s degree and the commencement of their master’s degree.
  • Scholars admitted to a Master of Science degree program at Oslo or Bergen campus, except for the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.
  • International applicants with citizenship from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland who are not residents of Norway are not eligible for this scholarship.

How to Apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship

The application steps for the scholarship are:

  • Do not apply for this scholarship through email except for 3rd year Sivøk applicants who can send their application letter to the email info@bi.no with the subject line: BI Presidential Scholarship Application.
  • The scholarship is applied same time you are applying for admission in the Bi Norwegian Business School application portal. Create a student account on the school portal here.
  • Write a scholarship application letter. (maximum of one page, outlining why you should be considered for this scholarship.
  • Upload it to the section marked ‘Scholarship’ in your online application for admission.
  • Upload all the required documentation for admission to a Master of Science program at Bi Norwegian Business School.
  • Upload documentation of residency. 
  • International applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship will also be considered for the MSc International Scholarship. A separate scholarship application letter is not required.
